Met Officer Charged with Rape and Sexual Assault in Expanding Investigation

A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with a series of serious sexual offences involving three separate victims.

Dion Arnold, 32, from Camberley, faces four counts of rape of a woman aged 16 or over, two counts of sexual assault on a female, and one count of assault by penetration on a woman aged 13 or over.

The latest charges relate to two women, separate from an earlier case involving a third victim, for which Arnold had already been charged with four counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration.

The offences are alleged to have taken place while Arnold was serving as an officer in the Metropolitan Police.

He was remanded in custody following a court appearance on 31 March 2025 and is next due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on 30 June.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed the officer had been suspended from duty and said the force is “fully cooperating” with the ongoing investigation.

“The Metropolitan Police Service takes all allegations of this nature extremely seriously. A full investigation is underway,” the spokesperson added.

The investigation remains active, and no further details about the victims have been released to protect their privacy.
